Order your sunlight paper at affordable prices! In my story, "Sunlight", the main character, Rachel, goes through a series of events and occurrences that leads her to begin her quest. The "call" in the story is identified towards the beginning of the story when Rachel tells the reader how her everyday life is in terms of the environment in which she lives and the treatment from her stepfather. In the beginning she shows the reader that her house is always a "junkyard" and her refrigerator is always empty. Then she gives the reader a glimpse into the negative treatment she gets from her stepfather. An example would be when she says, "I had such a profound hate for him that it almost became an obsession", and then when he hits her she says, "He hit me, with all the useless strength inside of him. He hit me so hard and for a second or maybe even two, all I saw were stars that seemed to be falling on me. So many brilliant, intense stars that danced around me, fell into me, and swirled about in the air. I felt enclosed." Her miserable and fearful life is the call, which helps her realize that she must do something to change what is bringing her down in life. The "other" in the story is Rachel's algebra teacher, Mrs. Dipher. Although Rachel never realizes that Mrs. Dipher observes her and has a hidden concern for her, she suddenly comes to that realization when Mrs. Dipher finally confronts her. Mrs. Dipher is Rachel's other because they're the same in one aspect, which is they have negative feelings towards what's going on at home, but they're exactly different in terms of what to do about the situation. Rachel has kept the domestic abuse inside her all along and never wanted to speak of it to anyone, or even change what was going on for that matter. Mrs. Dipher on the other hand, wants Rachel to speak out and let justice be served. She wants Rachel to do anything in her power that could stop the abuse, but it's hard for Rachel since that side of her is seldom revealed to any outsiders. For example, when Mrs. Dipher finally confronts Rachel, Rachel comes to a jolting realization and discovers a side of her that wants to stand up for herself and for her mom "Why had I been holding back for so long? I thought to myself. Why did I keep it all inside when I could've put an end to it before it even started? I suddenly realized how long I allowed my abuse to go on. Unexpectedly, I felt a surge of uncontrollable anger in my heart that was waiting for a long time to be revealed. " Generally, Mrs. Dipher is Rachel's other because she brings out a side of Rachel that is concealed, but in due time will be revealed. The journey is the series of events that Rachel endures in order to make this big change. After she comes to her realization, she makes the effort to call a hotline, and contact the police. However, her mom is in disagreement to what she wants to be done. Her mom is afraid that she'll be humiliated and she's also afraid that she'll end up alone forever. Rachel needs to get over this obstacle, but she learns to let go of all the consequences on her mind; she's only determined to get rid of Mitch and better the lives of both her and her mother. Another part of her journey, is finding evidence to prove to the police that the domestic abuse really was occurring. She realizes that here "The police and domestic abuse program needed proof and hard evidence that my mother and I were being abused. They couldn't just work off of what I was telling them." So she arranges that the police go to her house. Another small part of her journey is the court hearing and giving the final touches to what Mitch truly deserved, as it states here, "Mitch was put in jail for months, and then there was a court hearing. We had a restraint order put against him and he never bothered us again."The helpers and guides throughout the story were the police and the people from the domestic abuse hotline/program. They helped Rachel to truly finish off her plans and make her life easier to live. The police helped her get proof of the domestic abuse and the hotline filed her case, which the police received from them. Here is a quote that shows how the police and domestic abuse program helped her out, "I called the hotline for domestic abuse and within a week my file was reported to the police. '…Weeks passed as my file was being looked into and processed'". (I didn't elaborate too much on helpers and guides).

Obviously, one of the treasures is that fact that Rachel and her mom can breathe Mitch-free air, but the real treasure that Rachel and her mom can now repair the damaged relationship that they had because of Mitch. They can become closer and bond with each other and get back that missing piece that they always needed for each other. The relationship that they lacked before is now present in their lives, which makes them more content with the way they live. Now that Mitch is gone, that damaged relationship comes back and plays a significant part with the way they communicate with each other. Last but not least, the transformation in the story is the happy ending when everything is summed up. Now that Mitch is gone, both Rachel and her mom can get on with their lives without the misery and burden that Mitch weighed down on them. The relationship between Rachel and her mom improves and makes them happier. Their family life improves as well, without Mitch there is no arguments, violence, or dismal domestic environment. Everything from the negative is now transformed into the positive. Please note that this sample paper on sunlight is for your review only. Dantes use of allegory in the Inferno greatly varies from Platos Allegory of the Cave in purpose, symbolism, characters and mentors, and in attitude toward the world. An analysis of each of these elements in both allegories will provide an interesting comparison. Dante uses allegory to relate the sinners punishment to his sin, while Plato uses allegory to discuss ignorance and knowledge. Dantes Inferno describes the descent through Hell from the upper level of the opportunists to the most evil, the treacherous, on the lowest level. His allegorical poem describes a hierarchy of evil. Conversely, Platos Allegory of the Cave describes the ascent from ignorance to knowledge, as one prisoner is freed to make his way up towards the opening of the cave and experiences sunlight, the unavoidable truth. Symbolism is an essential element of both works. In Platos allegory symbols are used to represent truth, ignorance, society and the fear of change. Truth is represented by the sun, while ignorance is represented by the cave, its limited vision and darkness within. The prisoners represent ignorant members of society who are content to believe that what they see is all that exists. Fear of change is represented by the prisoners' angry reaction towards the freed, enlightened prisoner. Dantes Inferno is a detailed description of sin and its relationship to degrees of punishment. As stated in the text, ...for the face was reversed on the neck, and they came on backwards, staring backwards at their loins for to look before them was forbidden. This quote describes the punishment for fortunetellers. In life the fortunetellers foresaw the future. In death they are doomed to exist with their heads on backwards and their eyes overflowing with tears so that not only could they not see what was happening in front of them, but they could not see at all due to these copious amounts of tears. Similarly, each sin had its own logical punishment, and each group of sinners received the same punishment, with only a few exceptions. Such an exception can be found in Canto XXlll when Caiaphas lies crucified on the floor while the other hypocrites walk around him in circles. He is set apart because he counseled Roman to crucify Jesus. While the sinners represent mans imperfections, Virgil symbolizes human reason. Throughout the poem, Virgil uses logic and reason to convince the monsters to allow him to gain passage to the various circles of Hell. The use of characters and mentors is distinct in each piece. The Allegory of the Cave presents few characters, and except for the one prisoner who ascends from the cave, none are distinguished from the others. The one freed prisoner attempts to become a mentor to the others but fails. As he tries to enlighten the remaining prisoners he is received with anger and threats. Nothing is learned about the characters as individuals. They remain nameless, faceless images. In contrast, there are numerous characters in the Inferno. The sinners are arranged in a hierarchy. In each group of sinners, Dante distinguishes a few characters. Virgil acts as Dantes mentor and guide, leading him through the intricate levels of Hell. Although Virgil is Dantes mentor, Dante, himself, acts as a mentor for some of the souls in Hell. He informs them as to what is happening in the land of the living. The sinners also function as mentors by telling Dante about themselves, their sins and about Hell. In the following passage Dante asks Farinata to tell him about Tegghiacio ... still let me urge you on to speak a little further and instruct me Farinata and Tegghiacio, men of good blood...." While the cave dwellers in the Allegory of the Cave have no interest beyond what they see, the sinners have experienced life outside of Hell, and are curious about it. Plato and Dante criticize the world from different perspectives. Plato criticizes the world from a sociological point of view, while Dante criticizes it from a religious perspective. Plato implies that members of society are myopic in their views. They do not want what they have come to know and believe, to be proven false. They believe that what they see is all that there is to reality. They hold on to their beliefs, as if with chains, and react with anger if their belief system is threatened. This concept is demonstrated in the Allegory of the Cave where it states What do you think he would say if someone told him that what he had formerly seen was meaningless illusion. In Dantes Inferno, Dante specifically criticizes believers of Judaism and Islam. Dante criticizes these religions because of his loyalty to Christianity. An example of his contempt towards Islam is when Dante meets Mohammed and gruesomely describes him Between his legs all of his red guts hung with the heart, the lungs, the liver, the gall bladder, and the shriveled sac that passes shit to the bung.

In essence, while each author uses allegory to deliver his message, the elements of purpose, descent/ascent, characters and mentors, and views of the world are separate and distinct in each piece. Platos purpose is to discuss human ignorance, while Dante is exploring human sins. Platos characters are nameless and faceless, while Dantes are individually described. Finally, Plato perspective is sociological, while Dantes is religious. Please note that this sample paper on Dante's Inferno is for your review only. Dear AllieHow are you? It's been a long time since the last time we talked. As I was scavenging around the basement today I came across a faint shine reflected from a rusted lock. I picked it up, and started to skim through its decaying pages covered in dust and cobwebs. Although a decade has already passed, it still played instant flashbacks of everything that occurred during those four days before that Christmas. I guess I never really had the chance to tell you what happened, and how I felt during that time. I was on the verge of insanity. I hungered for respectability. I was such a bloody liar. I was reaching the brink of adulthood so I did what any emotionally disturbed 16 year olds would do. Maybe it was the time when teenagers realise they're growing up and act like they're tops but really are still kids inside. I wish you were here to guide me through the monotony of daily routines. Did I ever tell you what a failure I was when it came to love? I mean, I was pretty desperate for affection. I don't seem to recall any high school sweethearts but it's strange how after all these years I still have this delicate memory of one girl. Jane. She was the one who kept all her kings in the back row when we played checkers. My roommate at Pencey dated her and I was so mad I busted into a brawl over that stupid incident. For those who don't really know us would say that he's the lion and I'm the rat. They just don't look deep enough. Bunch of phonies.

I went on a date with this girl I met near the duck pond last week. She wasn't a real looker or anything but I really thought we had something going, until she turned up parading in some expensive dress and jewelry. It made me sick to the bone. She's just like D.B.I wonder where Jane is now, how she's doing, and if she has found bliss in a relationship or not. The last thing I would want to see is another tear on that checkerboard. Thinking back at how negative I thought of everything, Jane was one of the few people whom I spoke of in entirely positive terms. I didn't want the whole world to perceive me as some kind of rebel; I was just at the pinnacle of adolescence and was confused about everything.A number of good as well as bad experiences occurred during the odyssey after I was expelled from Pencey. Yes, expelled again. I didn't really care; after all, it's just some hotshot guy on a horse jumping over the fence. When Phoebs found out I didn't think she'd mind all that much, but I was wrong. Mum and dad probably thought I was so wasted and useless. It's their fault for sending me to some phony private school where I am constantly surrounded by jerks. Anyway, back then, I remember being so hypersensitive when it came to the topic of sex. I just didn't get it. My first encounter with a prostitute was not smooth. I used to tremble at the thought of making love not to mention removing a brassiere. I was naïve enough to think starting up a sophisticated conversation with a hooker was possible. I remember at that time, I nearly believed suicide was salvation after I found out that pimp had swindled me. Maybe it was just adolescent blues. That was one incident I would rather forget but the tableau seemed replay in my mind, even right up to this very moment.I often have daydreams about being the catcher in the rye, standing near the edge of the cliff to catch all the children who are falling, so they wouldn't fall into this polluted world. They don't deserve to live in this sick place. They don't need to learn at a place where walls are infested with profanity. I also wanted to catch all the experiences I have been through. I want to retain them the same way I protect the children. I believe children are the prefect image for young and fresh experiences. Whether those experiences were good or bad, memorable or regrettable, are not important. If only you were here, we would be catchers in the rye.Remember that baseball mitt you used to wear? The one covered in green poems? Don't worry about it, it's in good hands. You might think this letter sounds real weird, maybe even a bit phony too, but I really needed someone to listen to and the only person I can think of is you. I wish you could see how much I needed your company sometimes. If only I was strong enough I might have caught you. Or maybe I should leave my pathetic existence here and come join you. I just want to give you your baseball mitt.HoldenExplanationI am writing as the matured Holden Caulfield, 10 years after he last looked at the journal he wrote about the events prior to his stay at the rest home. He then decides to write a letter to his deceased brother Allie, telling him how he felt during the four days after he left Pencey. He still feels that Allie is the only person who understands him. His attitude has cleaned up a little bit, but he is still a bit insane. He talks about how immature he was to think suicide was the solution to his problems, but self-contradicts this by saying that he wants to give up his life to be with Allie. Please note that this sample paper on Catcher in the Rye is for your review only. In order to eliminate any of the plagiarism issues, it is highly recommended that you do not use it for you own writing purposes. In order to evaluate the truth of this statement this essay will analyze the reasons for the settlement of the Port Phillip District. In 185 John Batman sailed from Launceston to the Port Phillip District on his ship the 'Rebecca'. He was being supported by a group of wealthy men known as the Port Phillip Association. He had come to the Port Phillip District in an attempt to purchase land from the aborigine's as well as to explore the unfamiliar territory.Whilst exploring he wrote a report on the quality of land. "I went on shore to look at the land, which appeared beautiful, with scarcely any timber on. On my landing I found hills of a most superior description beyond my most sanguine expectations. The land excellent, and very rich and light black soil, covered with kangaroo grass two feet high, and as thick as it could stand. Good hay could be made, and in any quantity. The trees not more than six to the acre, and those small sheoak and wattle. I never saw anything equal to the land in my life. I walked over a considerable extent, and all the same description."When Batman returned and exchanged his reports with the people of Van Diemens Land everyone wanted to be a part of the wealth that could be obtained by settling in Port Phillip District. One problem was that settlement on the land at this time was illegal this was because the P.P.D was a part of the N.S.W colony. Only in a small section called 'The Nineteen counties' was land allowed for settlement. Due to the P.P.D being a part of the N.S.W colony the N.S.W government decided that because people were settling there illegally they might aswell make a town and if they were going to make a town they wanted to make a proper one.

So this they did with Captain William Lonsdale arriving with an entourage of builders, road makers, timber cutters and surveyors. These men turned to the task of building a pre-designed city. All pre-existing buildings were demolished and several people including Surveyor Robert Russell, Assistant Surveyor-General Robert Hoddle and Governor Richard Bourke made a proper city layout. The design was a rectangle with a baseline of 1.6km. This rectangle ran parallel with the Yarra and was to be divided into twenty-four blocks. These blocks would be set out in eight blocks of three. Once all construction was complete they would be sold and then people could start to settle. Whilst all of this was in procession no one was allowed to settle in the Port Phillip District. The money made out of the sold blocks would be used to ensure Melbourne would have facilities such as Jails, Hospitals, offices, banks, courts etc.Now because a town had been built many agriculturists arrived from all over the world. Agriculturists flocked from the United Kingdom due to poverty, the unreliable land and the rising costs of rent. People also arrived from V.D.L because of the shortage of land. For most of these people the P.P.D was a dream come true. The wealth that was brought to the P.P.D was not just from the land but it was also from the commercial side of things. For the P.P.D to run it must also have the everyday necessities of life. So not just agriculturists were flocking to the P.P.D but also labourers, building workers, shopkeeper's skilled workers, professionals, unskilled workers, domestic servants and even a vinedresser.Due to all of these people arriving and settling how could the settlers be greedy? They were making jobs for the general public. They caused a district with very little but a few tribes of aborigines to turn into a growing prosperous city. All of the evidence above proves that the settlers were definitely not greedy. Programming procedures allow programming practices to become standardized. This enables a programmer to quickly come up to speed when troubleshooting and making modifications to an existing application. Programming guidelines should contain scheduling requirements, a quality checklist, and some general design guidelines. The components included in a programming procedure not only enable a programming team to build a more robust application but also save costly maintenance time when the application crashes or has enhancements that need to be incorporated.. Code StandardsCode standards are a critical part of programming, especially when a program is being developed by a team. A variable naming conventions allows variables to be named in a format that is consistent and definitive. The Hungarian variable naming convention consists of small lower-case prefixes added on to a variable name with the first letter of words capitalized. A naming convention must also be adhered to for controls. By using Hungarian Notation to name controls, a programmer has the ability to standardize the structure, coding style and logic of an application. Below is a sample of the Hungarian Notion used for naming controls.

Cheap writing services for Programming procedures papers

Indentation guidelines are another important part of code standards. A programmer should use blank lines and Tabs for formatting to enhance readability. Correct indentation for all control structures should be adhered to.Internal Documentation Requirements are yet another component of code standards. Pseudo code and a testing checklist should be submitted with any application. This will help other programmer quickly come up to speed and will ensure that the testing phase of application development is thorough and successful.. Scheduling Requirements In order to make our group deadline, each individual must be able to post their parts to the newsgroup two days before the actual deadline. Reason being is so each team members can review the product and revise anything that needs revising. A chosen person can merge all the documents together to make it one seamless product. Each individual who turns in their part must be well documented and must have their resources documented as well. If a team member needs help, then s/he should not be afraid to ask for help. The one thing that each member needs to remember is to turn in their work on time. You can't expect your team member to pick up your own part. If you can't do it, let your team member know and ask for help.4. QC Checklist Having others QC the application can provide a number of quality checks. While it may not seem too important to the programmer to do this in a classroom environment, making a program that a total stranger has to read and understand is critical in the real world. First, when choosing a name for a subroutine or function be descriptive. A person ought to be able to tell by the name what type of processing will take place. A second area of concern is variable naming. Do the variable names reflect the data types they are? For example, is int prefixing all integer variables. We will also evaluate the names of variables using the Microsoft naming standards and ease of use of the application. Finally, the program will be checked for inline documentation of each routine or function. What is being called? Who calls it? Who does it call? Is there anything passed to it that should have a certain range of values? By adhering to some simple rules, it will make the project easier to understand and comment on it.5. Design Guidelines/Requirements One of the many documentation that will be required are ANY sources that was used for the design. Other design documentation that will be required is the original design for the final project. Documentation is essential so that when a person wants to rebuild this product, a person can just take a look at the original design and build it from scratch. Another thing you want to document is any revision that was made after the original product was designed. A design is essential because it organizes the thoughts of the group and from there a flow chart could be made. It is easier to create a product from something that is already organized. Meaning that everything that you want a product to do is laid out for a team to work on and create this product. It makes coding so much easier. 6. ConclusionThe quality control process is an important one in programming. It provides a guideline to create a standardized set of code for applications and programs. This enables others to view and understand what the program is trying to accomplish in the end. Having the Learning Team go through the quality control process will take it to a new appreciation for programming and group projects. It will get the whole group involved in lending a hand to make each weekly project and enjoyable learning experience. All of this will keep the team moving towards its goal of gaining a better understanding of what it takes to create a quality program. Please note that this sample paper on Programming procedures is for your review only.
