One final analysis shows that inventory turnover and collection period are really low, which means merchandise does not sit very long and when it is sold money is received very quickly.

Unlike any other teenager he and other boys had to go through puberty in such bad conditions. Eliezer thought "it was a nightmare… my heart pounding, and find myself back in the bedroom of my childhood, among my books…" He thinks to himself that this is just a nightmare and wishes he could wake up but can't. Here he realizes that he had lost his youth by working in the concentration camps and misses how things were when this event happened.

"…When I parted from my mother… I felt pressure of my fathers hand: we were alone." He had already lost his mother and just knew he was never going to see her or his sister again. Both the father and Eliezer knew that they would have to stick together. But in the end the father had aged a lot. Elie knew that his father wasn't going to make it because of "the officer dealt him a violent blow on the head with a truncheon." He knew from there that his father wouldn't make it. With his father dead he had no one but himself now. In conclusion, Eliezer had lost things that were of importance to him. He had gone through so many things in his experience being in the concentration camp. This has made him more of a man because he had the mentality to think of positive things. Even with all the insightful things he saw, he still managed to get through it. Even with people having unforgettable experience, they too still have that part of themselves to make them stronger because of what they been through. The Reich Citizenship Law made Jews 'subjects' rather than citizens, which removed them of many of their rights. In 17, more Jewish businesses were confiscated and Hitler made his first outspoken attack on the Jews in two years. After that, they had to register their property making it easier to confiscate by the police and Jewish doctors, dentists and lawyers were forbidden to treat Aryans. They also had to have their passports stamped with a red letter, 'J'.
