My Personal Goals at University of PhoenixMy personal goals I would like to achieve as a University of Phoenix student are first and far most a Bachelor of Science degree. I would like to exercise my brain the way I do my body and challenge myself to learn new and exciting things like for instance, my writing skills are not something to be desired, so I would like to improve upon them a great deal. Along with my writing skills it would benefit me to also be able to improve on word usage, sentence structure, and grammar, punctuation, spelling, and writing structures. I have been out of college for about eight years, and I use computers extensively everyday. Computers are the greatest thing sense loaf bread, but they can make you lazy in ways you don't realize until it is to late. I once was a good speller until I started using a word processor which caused me to lose some of my spelling and writing skills. I hope to improve on what I lost and then some. I work in an environment that requires good communication skills. I hope to improve on my communication skills to give me better leverage on my job. There are many challenges facing me in completing this degree I hope to meet all the challenges facing me both educational and personal. I am a man of few words which means I say everything I need to say using the least amount of words. It is going to be challenging writing papers that require a lot of words. Understanding external customer relationships is also explored. I deal with out side customers everyday anything new I can learn will help me. The goal is to complete this class. Communicating in the Virtual Workplace offers guidance and examples on how to communicate effectively in a growing workplace that is dependent upon technology as a means to communicate globally. I am in the technology field and one of my responsibility's is to know different types of organizational communications such a Intranets, Internet, e-commerce, and any other media communications that are available on the market.
